SESAME

Sesame is currently grown throughout the world, most especially in Latin America. Bolivia’s excellent climate and soil conditions provide the means for a high nutritional quality production and particularly smoked-nut flavor highly sought in our region. Currently, statistics show an increase of sesame crops in the Bolivian tropical areas.

Sesame is a complete food. Both its nutritional and organoleptic properties make it an appreciated component of gastronomy. Its high fatty component also enables the extraction of oils both for culinary and cosmetic use.

It contains a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, and proteins, as well as a variety of amino acids such as methionine, a must for the prevention of arthritis and muscle care. Being gluten free, adds value to its qualities.
